What's all of this about Classic Bernese Mountain Dog markings, and Head Profile?

There are certain characteristics that make a classic Bernese Mountain Dog.  Most important to many of us is the affectionate, confident, calm personality. Markings, eye color, and head profile are also important.  Although our puppies are only a couple of generations removed from the Champion "Janipan Hero of the Day", personally we are not into "show dogs"  so I think the value of breeding to us is that they will look nice and make great pets.  But to those who want to know more about the breed and selecting a classic Bernese puppy  Here are some Bernese pages to help.
